High-Integrity Condensate Pots by SFT Valves Fittings

SFT Valves Fittings. offers an excellent selection of high-quality Condensate Pot devices (aka seal pots, condensate chambers, steam pots, DP transmitter seal pots) that have been designed and manufactured to provide consistent and stable condensate levels; therefore ensuring accurate differential pressure measurement from DP transmitters over long periods of time.

Overview of the Product

Condensate pots are a necessary piece for steam flow measurements and are located in the impulse lines adjacent to the tapping point on steam pipes. The two primary purposes of the condensate pots are:

  • 1. **To Provide a Constant Head**: When steam enters the pot, it will condense, forming a uniform column of liquid so that pressure is transmitted to the DP Transmitter without interruption due to either live steam or partial condensation occurring within the impulse lines.
  • 2. **To Protect the Instrument**: The condensate barrier will prevent hot steam, particles, scale, and corrosive material from reaching the sensitive diaphragm of the transmitter, thus extending the life of the instrument and maintaining its accuracy.
